Stuffed Green Peppers

Serving Size:  1 pepper  Servings:  6

Cooking Temp:  350 degrees Effort:  Easy

 
Ingredients:
1 lb Ground Chuck
1 lb Ground Pork
1 lb Ground Veal
3-6 green peppers
Salt
Pepper
Chipped Garlic
Dash Oregano
 
Parsley
3 eggs
2 cups Parmesan or Romano cheese
1 cup bread crumbs
2 cups minute rice cooked and cooled.
Tomato sauce (homemade preferred) 

 
How To Prepare:

Mix meats, salt, pepper, garlic, oregano, parsley, eggs, cheese, breadcrumbs, and rice in a bowl until well mixed.

Slice peppers in half core and remove stems.

Fill the pepper halves with the mixture.

In a casserole dish, add a layer of tomato sauce to the bottom of dish. Lay the mixture filled peppers on top of the sauce layer and cover with more sause.

Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.  Uncover for the last 15-20 min.

If there is any left over mixture, it can be frozen and used at a later date or you can cook and eat as a seperate meal.
